Visit the Museum of Northern Arizona. Flagstaff is home to the Museum of Northern Arizona, dedicated to researching and preserving the history of the Colorado Plateau. The private, non-profit museum welcomes over 100,000 visitors each year. As the region's largest natural history and anthropology museum, the museum's collection now boasts more than five million Native American artifacts, natural science specimens and fine art pieces.

Discover Colorado Plateau History. Thousands of years of human and natural history reside in the area, home to an abundance of natural monuments such as the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley, as well as 10 Native American tribes. Evidence of past civilizations, such as the Puebloan dwellings, as well as volcanoes, canyons and depressions, formed through seismic upheaval, dominant waterways, even plummeting meteors, have left plenty of artifacts and specimen for examination by researchers and curious visitors alike.  [Top]

Fascinating Educational Tours. The Museum of Northern Arizona was founded in 1928 by the Flagstaff community to collect and preserve Native American artifacts and natural history specimens from the immediate area and the entire Colorado Plateau.
